Lake Okoboji Reflections

Enjoy Lake Okoboji during the crisp days of fall, into the frosty winter and the cool spring, don't count the months until summer. You can still spend your time at the lake by watching this video; you will bask in the visions of your own personal "endless summer" when you view the tape. There are scenes of the beauty and tranquility of the lake, and , of course, the tape is alive with activity including boating, sailing, fishing and skiing. Also, no lakes videotape would be complete if it did not include some of us enjoying the shoreline and the beautiful sunsets.

An hour long, this video captures the essence of Lake Okoboji through the ages. Early photographs from the 1800's through the 1950's combine with state-of-the-art color videotape and majestic musical soundtrack to illustrate the history of our water playground. We are connected with those earlier generations who, like us, spent their treasured vacation time at Lake Okoboji. This videotape is a wonderful family keepsake, and will be a valued gift for any Lake Okoboji visitor or resident.

Stephen Kennedy, Museum Director of the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum in Arnolds Park, Iowa says, "This hour-long video is a compilation of historic and current day footage of the Okoboji lakes. In my opinion this long overdue video captures the essence and history of our beautiful lakes. I was more than impressed with the final product and I put my stamp of approval on this project."
